Running Scene for Two Thousand Fourteen

Before I start, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had an amazing 2013 and started 2014 even better! 2013 was great year for me, and I couldn't be happier as I start into 2014. I know I haven't posted in a while, but a lot has been going on - all of which I'll get to in due time. Right now I feel like I have so much to say!

I accomplished some amazing things for myself in 2013 - things I never thought I could do. It showed me that if I believed in myself I could do anything I put my mind to. I ran my first marathon in January, less than a year after I started running. I ran 8 half marathons, bringing my total for halves to 14. I PRed in the half marathon distance, running the DeLeon Springs 1/2 in 2:23:12. I PRed the 5k as well, just shy of my sub30 goal, at 30:05.

Although I accomplished so much for myself, life got in the way a bit, and I was unable to reach some of the goals I had set for myself last year. This year I plan on being more dedicated and re-setting my goals and kicking their butts! I'm going to have a 2014 Goals post soon, to keep myself accountable.

I'm excited for what this year has in store - especially since it started off amazing, with the Dopey Challenge at Disney. That amazing weekend has me believing in myself even more, and has kick started my motivation to be better this year.

Did you accomplish all you wanted in 2013? Do you have awesome plans for 2014? I'd love to hear about it! Comment below!
